My search for Indian/vegetarian food in the US began way before I started this blog. One of the restaurants I visited while roaming around the city was called Chennai Garden. Their lunch buffet had both south and north Indian food, what stood out was the green chutney. It was mind blowing-spicy, sour and just perfect.
Last week I decided to have some traditional south Indian and went to Chennai Garden. The thali ordered had:
- Masala dosa
- Uttapa
- Sambhar
- Coconut chutney
- A red chutney I’ve never liked so don’t know what it is
- Idli
- Medhu vada
- Badam Halwa for desert
Needless to say, it was all delicious.
