Desi Chinese is spicy, has vegetables that doesn’t include broccoli or tofu, has a lot of spring onions and is fried. The noodles aren’t bland and the vegetable entrée has real flavor instead of steamed pile of tastelessness.
At my expensive desi Chinese dinner I ordered some chili paneer with gravy (not dry) and hakka noodles with vegetables. They were delicious. The paneer seemed a little hard, maybe that was on purpose so that it retained its own taste.
The flavor and taste reminded me of Chinese food back in India that’s at 1/8th the price. Chinese Mirch is still a great place, recommended for a date.
