More Georgian food that’s like Indian food

Oda House in East Village is one of my favorite restaurants. There’s cheese, breads stuffed with potatoes and cheese, dumpling-ish things, yogurt in a earth vessel, and fancy eggs in bread for friends. Here’s what I got on my most recent visit.

Good looking, ok tasting, Pesto Gnocchi

At Patrizia’s Pizza and Pasta, I decided to satisfy my pasta cravings. Ordered the pesto Gnocchi that lacked salt. Good looking plate though, very heavy resulting in me taking in more than half of it home.

An NYC brunch to repeat

Brunch is a part of Manhattan culture, don’t defy it. Be part of it. And then go to Vic’s in NoHo. Found and reserved by my friend, Vic’s has a refreshing sunlit section in addition to a regular seating area. And the food, well, it’s fantastic.

Fine plates of food in Chicago pt. 3: Grilled Cheeses

Fine plates of food in Chicago pt. 1: Vegetarian food bar

The past couple of months, I’ve been visiting Chicago and a fellow vegetarian took me to some of the best vegetarian foods across Chicago. It has been amazing. Chicago food scene is fantastic. Here’s part 1 of 4. The best fries: At Pops for Champagne or The Watershed are the best damn fries you’ll eat. Both…

Bombay Bread Bar: Another unique contemporary Indian affair in NYC

This was a fun dinner. At the restaurant that replaced a Parsi-focused, vegetarian options lacking, Paowalla (guy who has bread), The Bombay Bread Bar is a refreshing twist on urban and contemporary Indian food. Definitely a revisit / must-go restaurant near SoHo’s famous shopping area.

Quattro: Avant-garde vegetarian in Bombay

Quattro in Bombay should be an annual pilgrimage The food is that good. The presentation is spectacular. Nothing else matters. And its sister restaurant is equally fantastic. The name’s Italian but food served is Italian and Mexican. Quattro is the second vegetarian restaurant by the brains behind SpiceKlub, another modernist Indian vegetarian restaurant in Bombay.
