Ethiopian platter: South India meet North India

A bold decision one night to try a new cuisine ended up with Ethiopian food. Turns out, the food is North Indian lentil daal, kidney beans, and a few other veggies served on a South India dosa. Needless to say, being a fan of both, the Ethiopian meal was delicious. As it happens to be,…

Jumbo Potato Skins

The vegetarian version of a bacon filled appetizer at a restaurant in Indianapolis. Not completely scooped half potatoes filled with beans, cheese and corn, served with sour cream. They were interesting but felt quite heavy as an appetizer. Good stuff though. MacNiven’s Restaurant & Bar, Indianapolis

Mexican Sushi

At a buffet in Vegas, I got myself some sushi and guac. I like a certain type of sushi (the ones where I choose the ingredients); and I like Guac. Hypothetically the idea was to substitute cream cheese with guac. Well, the idea wasn’t genius. What I ate was blob.

Spicy Chipotle from California Pizza Kitchen

MY first visit to CPK was in Indianapolis and the pizza was a Spicy Chipotle Chicken without chicken. It was delicious. The black bean and corn salsa combination with the thin crust was delicious!

Tomato cheese tapas

To be had with bread and they were delicious! Restaurant: Barcelona Tapas, Indianapolis

Artichoke Tapas

Really good with the salt & pepper. Indian chaat masala would make these epic! Restaurant: Barcelona Tapas, Indianapolis

Patate

Patate is a fancy word for an italian potatoes appetizer. These were delicious, sort of steamed potatoes, with Parmesan cheese garnishing. Restaurant: Stella 34 in Macy’s

Artichoke Pizza

No marinara but with some Italian white pasta sauce this pizza was so good that I didn’t mind the artichokes on it! Expensive but Delicious! Worth the long wait lines at ungodly hours.
