The Italian Way, at Eataly

Co-owned by TV personality Joe Bastianich (Restaurant Startup & Master Chef), Eataly is a popular New York stop. Finally going there, I was confused.

It was crowded, people walking all around, servers in between people shopping/tasting or standing in line to pay. It was like a market in India. Anyhow, we found a vegetarian friendly restaurant and the food was pleasantly good. It was simple, delicious and well plated.

The first item that came to iur table was something we did not order. But me and my friend unknowingly (honest to God) were so busy in conversations that we started eating it. Ot was this bruschetta:

The Bruschetta Del Girono was a daily special that tasted really good ( that’s all I know about it since, well, we didn’t order it so didn’t know what it had).

Next up was our appetizer (which is when the server realized he made a mistake but was gracious enough to let us enjoy our bruschetta).  The Scarpetta:

The Scarpetta is a toasted italian rustic bread with mozzarella milk, heirloom tomatoes and basil.

The mozzarella milk was delicious.

Our main course was the mushroom lasagna:

The lasagna to mushrooms ratio was good.

Our dessert was a very delicious Milk gelato topped with Nutella:
