I had tofu at an expensive restaurant in India and found it to be absurd. The concept of eating pieces of hot yogurt seemed funny to someone who enjoys the spicy raita. Third wheel on a date I didn’t persuade friends to consider, I went along to Haru, a sushi restaurant. My appetizer was a dish called agedashi tofu. Sprinkled with spring onion and dipped in some liquid, these fried pieces of yogurt were weird. Of the four, I could jus eat two. Tofu seems to be an acquired taste to someone not from the region, while what I ate at Haru wasn’t to my liking, it was certainly not bad.
